TK I respect the conviction but 52 points assumes everything goes right. Pull up the tape on Kent State's front seven, they are not a pushover at the line of scrimmage for a MAC program.

Everybody is piling on South Carolina to cover 34.5 and that is the tell right there. I like the Gamecocks to win, sure, but that number is enormous and public money is going to be chasing a blowout that might not fully materialize.

Dez is not wrong on the number. Historically, home Power conference teams covering spreads this large in Week 1 non-conference games happens less than half the time. The win is a lock; the margin is the variable.

Avery I do not need a percentage to tell me what the film already shows. Games are won up front, always have been, and South Carolina's front is a different animal than what Kent State sees in the MAC.

I am going 38-17 and I am sticking with it because nobody is giving Kent State any credit for having athletes. Dru DeShields is going to move the ball at some point and Dash Dorsey can create after the catch.

I am also watching Oscar Adaway III and Isaiah Augustave in the backfield. South Carolina is going to feed those running backs early and often and the clock is going to disappear on Kent State.

TK is not wrong about the run game being the path to a big number. If Brandon Cunningham manages the game cleanly and the backs churn yards, the over 52.5 becomes interesting, mostly on the South Carolina side of the ledger.
